Blue Light Card Discount Vue Cinema May 2024

Went to see Star Wars the Last Jedi yesterday & sat in VIP seats. Booked tickets online without issue, printed them out from the machine using booking ref & had a comfy experience. Staff were friendly & helpful & the film was great

Overall the experience of going to the cinema I find is very good. But... theres too many adverts before the actual film and the food is waaaaay too expensive.

I am actually a pretty loyal customer of Vue Cinemas and go to the Vue Hamilton Cinema frequently. As such I will review the website and the cinema itself:Website:The website is truly a terrible experience. Do not even attempt to use the website with a smartphone. When you have to choose your seats on the floor plan it will be a nightmare.Contact by Phone:NEVER call Vue. Their automated service is the worst I have ever had the misfortune of using. Worse than PayPal!Food and Beverage:As with every cinema in the country, the cost of food and beverage is extortionate. However, you can simply bring food and drink with you (Vue Policy does not prohibit cold food and beverages, however you can bring anything you want and claim you are diabetic - ergo for medical reasons MUST bring it with you. As Vue have a duty of care over you they cannot stop you). Pricing:Vue is pretty much the same as every other cinema for ticket pricing.Seating:The standard seating in a Vue cinema is above average (compared to Showcase (worst seating ever), Cineworld (mediocre seating) and Odeon (slightly above average seating)). There is ample leg room (I am 6ft 4in tall) and arms rests are spaced wide. Unless you are seriously obese you will be comfortable in a standard seat. However, the VIP seats are very good and well worth the extra £1. The leg room lets you stretch out and the almost double width seats will take the fattest of asses with ease. Conclusion:Definitely one of the better cinemas for the actual cinema experience, however their website and phone service is terrible.

Although I do agree that the recent website upgrade is not as good as the previous site, I have to stand up for the lovely manager at Newbury Vue. 'Mr Finn' has given us excellent customer service for situations that were either our fault or accidents (once my Mum broke her hip on the way to the cinema). We have enjoyed many family cinema outings although we tend to go in person to get our tickets as the online system can be unreliable. Fully recommend the Vue Cinema in Newbury, Berkshire.

I often go to The Vue Cinema in Cardiff - VERY affordable fixed £4 per adult!! The website is an absolute nightmare to navigate, and the self payment booths are never working correctly but the cinema itself is great. Clean,big screens, friendly staff and great food. My only main gripe is that its always cold - so wear something cosy. They have all the blockbuster films and cheap nights for kids during the week. I am from overseas so used to paying out the nose for crappy, smelly cinemas - it had gotten to the point where I stopped going to them entirely. So great to have a nice affordable one in the local area in Cardiff!

We always have ice cream and coffee when we go to the Vue,Eastleigh.Unfortunately, for health reasons my partner can now only drink decaf coffee, which we were surprised to be told is not available.Come on “Vue” a big organisation such as yours, can’t provide decaf coffee, surely not.

I can't really believe all the negative comments about the website yeah they did have a glitch in the system but was sorted pretty quick.I've always booked online always got the seats I wanted and never had a problem with payment ticket codes ECT ECT.. I guess angry people are more likely to post a review than others who have a great experience with Vue.My advice try it for yourself and make your own mind up don't listen to all the moaners who had to wait in an online queue for once in there lives bless them...

After completely messing up my cinema booking at Southport (I couldn't use my meerkat cinema voucher code - the lady at customer services refunded my money and then talked me through the booking service and waited until it was all correct before finishing with me. My refund was applied immediately and I was so impressed with the lady concerned and the service received.
